EXPERIENCE
Management Consulting
Advised more than 50 companies across a
broad spectrum including Wells Fargo, Target, Weyerhaeuser, Pillsbury,
Steelcase, StarTribune, The University of Minnesota, Minnesota Electric
Supply Company, Omni Remanufacturing, Lexington Manufacturing, The
Company Store, et cetera). These advisory
services included corporate venturing, leadership coaching, business plan formulation and
implementation guidance, business system design and post-implementation
guidance, financial analysis and
accounting, and interim leadership positions in operations,
sales, finance and human resources. Began career as a Staff
Consultant at Accenture and as a Management Consultant/Accountant
at Lurie, Besikof & Lapidus.
Investment Banking
Represented privately held companies in primarily
sell-side merger and acquisition, recapitalization and financing
transactions. Began investment banking career at
Mesirow Financial in
Chicago as a Senior Vice President. Was also Financial &
Operations Principal/Managing Director at Woodbridge Financial Group,
Minneapolis.
Carlson School of Management
Adjunct Professor/Senior Lecturer at the
Carlson School of Management for
more than a decade. To date, taught more than 80
class sections in three departments. Primary course topics
include business strategy and policy formulation; entrepreneurship;
management and organization; business process analysis and design; and,
managerial and financial accounting.
As Director of Undergraduate
Entrepreneurial Studies, proposed, designed, developed the
curriculum and program, and managed and directed all program activities
through the Spring of 2003. In addition, taught all major core
courses and advised all major and minor students during this time.
When I left this position to join Woodbridge Financial Group, this
program was the third largest Major and Minor program at the Carlson
School. Also established the
Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club which is now the largest
undergraduate student organization at the school.

Chief Financial
Officer and Chief Information Officer of a wood products
manufacturer/finisher in the early 1990s.
In
2000, 2001 and 2002, was the LEAD Instructor for the
LEAD program, a summer
institute for talented disadvantaged minority youth from around the
country delivered locally by the Carlson School of Management and
sponsored by Super Valu, 3M and General Mills.
Served on
the boards of several organizations in various positions.
